Club Meeting Minutes

December 2007

The 2008 Officers nominated at the November meeting, were voted on and approved at the December meeting. :

Dennis Scott - President.

Donnie White - Vice President.

Wayne Chadwick - Treseasurer.

Lindsay Miller -  Secretary.

Mike Cox - New Range Captain.

Racoon shoot - will be held one Saturday evening, around late spring/early summer, more to be ironed out as we get closer to warmer days.

Money Shoot/Class - A new shoot type will be held in the open field at certain times during or after the normal shoots on Saturday & Sundays. There will be new shooting games, the prize is 50/50 of a money pot. If you have any interesting ideas for this type of shoot please let the Web Master know or bring it up at our next meeting. We will anounce the money shoots before we have them more info TBA.

Meeting Door Prizes! - Each meeting starting in January 08, the club will draw a members name from a hat. If your name is called and you are there you will get a gift card/check for $20, if you are not at the meeting at the time the money goes back into the pot for the next meeting. The pot will keep on growing until a name is drawn thats at the meeting. So come to the meetings present your ideas, voice your opinion, vote on other ideas, put your two cents in and just maybe you might get some change for your pocket.

Dixie Merchandise - We are currenty looking into making Dixie Bowmen Vehicle Decals, these will be given out free to Dixie Members. Also we are pricing club hats or t-shirts for purchase, these will be a pre-order type deal so we can make sure to get the proper sizes for everyone that wants them. If you have ideas for a design, please send them in to the webmaster.

Advertising - We are trying to come up with some ideas for more advertising for the club, for example, newspapers or radio. If you know of any place that will advertising Dixie Bowmen shoots please let Dennis Scott know.

Dixie Constitution: We need member support. Our constitution is out of date and requires updating. Please read it here. To make changes to our constitution requires 2/3rds of the entire membership, not just those present at our meetings. We will try to schedule a meeting to occur at one of our scheduled shoots.
