Club Meeting Minutes

February 2008

 Shirts – The graphics for shirts has been voted on, it will be #4 for the front shirt pocket and #8 on the back. See the website for these images. Most of the local printing places are charging about the same for their screen printing but here is the list of those we are considering: Expert Screen Printing Inc, Wilkinson Advertising, Custom T's, Olde Dominion Screenprint, Third Stone Graphics, Sketch'z, Pritchard Sportswear, Celebri-Tees, and Quantum Graphics. If anyone has heard of these places or done business with them please let the webmaster (via email – Dixiebowmen@dixiebowmen.org) to know how their work is so we can pick a decent place to print our shirts. Once we choose a place then we will be taking orders for shirt sizes, color of the shirt (Black, grey or white) and the ink color (white or black) at the MARCH SHOOT!

Decals – Image #2 from the shirts list has been chosen for the decals, we have found a place that will print 100 of them for us. One (1) decal will be given to each head-of-household member for free, if you would like more than 1 or if non-members would like some they will be $5 a sticker. We will let you know when we get them printed.

Constitution – a committee has been formed to revise our constitution after 30-some years, if you have any ideas for changes please email the webmaster and he will forward them to the Chairman of the committee. The Constitution can be found on the bottom of the main page on the website in Word format. If you would like a printed copy, please email the webmaster and he will bring it to the shoot this month (March).

.Club Championship – a committee has also been formed to come up with the rules for the end of the year club championship for each class. If you have any ideas please email them to the club Secretary.

$20 drawing – We voted and approved the following to the $20 club drawing:

    (1) Not to roll over the $20 for the door prize at the monthly club meetings.

    (2) Drawing now includes spouses. 

    (3) If the 1st members name drawn is not present then we will draw a 2nd time, if they are also not here their names will be put on the internet.

Motoshot - We are considering taking a slightly used target from our range to be used on the Motoshot and buying a new target for the course later on, the poor bear wants to take a break.

Also a new game has been invented for the moving target, a small sticker will be placed somewhere on the target will have $20 printed on it. If you stick the sticker you win the $20 pot. This will go on all day until it is hit, and it cannot be a side nick, must be clearly stuck near the middle, with sticker all around it.  Individual rounds will continue as normal during this daylong event. Dollar an arrow for either game.

Drink prices – There was some confusion about the drink prices, some said 75cent others said $1.00, the price was voted on to be changed to $1.00 to make a nice number for change. Price will take effect at the March shoot.

.Donations – The club as agreed to donate $50 to the NWTF, for more on this foundation contact Donnie White. Donation underwrote a set of afghan pillows, which the NWTF place out for silent auction. When it was over, our donation of $50 netted the NWTF $65.
