Club Meeting Minutes

January 2008

Advertising - an ad for Dixie and our shoot dates has been put in serveral county's newspapers; Prince George, Fort Lee, Hopewell, and Petersburg. (if you remember all the papers Dennis said please list, he kinda went through the list faster than I could write it). If you see an ad, please let the webmaster know where you saw it.

Decals, T-shirts, and Hats - Still needing some ideas for the Dixie Decals (prefered one color picture) if you have any ideas please let the webmaster or Donnie White know. We are currently trying to get the deer skull logo on the website scanned and make it into a Dixie Logo. Once we get them made 1 decal will be given to each member free and a charge for extras or for non-members. We need to decide on what we would like on our shirts. We are working on some examples to display for voting on.

Moving Target Frame - We voted to purchase the Motoshot moving target frame. http://www.motoshot.com/   It will be here for our next shoot. This would be used for a novelty shoot. It will be 5 dollars for 3 three shots, closest to the mark wins half the pot. Used for traditional & compound shooters.

Over-all Award - We will keep record of the shoot scores for Dixie members and the person with the highest points in each class will win the Over-all trophy. More on this trophy later on. See Points page.

Extra Help - Dixie members are encouraged to help out at the shoots; take money for shoots, collect score cards, make hot dogs, anything to help out would be appreciated. Also dont forget if you come early to help set up targets or stay late to pick them up you get to eat free for the next shoot!.

Meeting Door Prize - Our first winner at the Jan. meeting was Norman Cruz, his name was drawn for the $20 and he was at the meeting. Next time it might be you so come on out!
